Beginners
Our adult beginner class is designed to make your transition into the gym smoother. Covering some basic concepts will make your early journey far more enjoyable. This class is used as a starting point for absolute beginners to then transition to the fundamentals class.
What to expect

We were all there once. You show up and are put into a goofy looking uniform. Next thing you know another adult tied an oversized belt around your waist and you are soon after being choked in between someone’s legs. What just happened?
It has been shown that beginners are often left to figure out the basics themselves. This can lead to uncomfortable experiences that can then create a desire not to return.
The goal of this class is to help students understand the most basic and fundamental Jiu-Jitsu skills.
Also, the uniform grows on you.

Students with zero prior grappling experience would benefit most. If you have never been on a wrestling mat then we’d recommend starting with this class. It is not required, but we know that on average it helps students stick around much longer.

We will be reviewing fundamental Jiu-Jitsu positions. The coach will be demonstrating various positions and techniques. You will then be partnered with someone of a similar size and you will practice the positions. Each class will cover a different set of concepts.
